UTS Hellenic was formed in 1988 and called Tri Gamma (like the US fraternities). Finding this hard to believe? Well Sydney University Greek Society aka SUGS used to be called SEF (sillogos ellinon fititon). Unfortunately i have no records of who started the committee, the union has promised to get back to me with further information.
In 1991 it was taken over by Alex Sisiolas and Nectar Constadopoulos. They formed a proper committee, named it UTS Hellenic Society.
On the first committees were Ari Papadatos, Sue Tristaris, Con Paleologous, Maria Georgakopoulos, Helen Giannakopoulos, Jorge Sotiriou, Betty Ivanoff. The committee of 1991 continued the same for 4 years straight. Alex Papadatos was President, Sue Tristaris was Treasurer, Nectar Constadopoulos was policy and Jorge Sotiriou was media.

In October 2000, Con Kouzoukas stood down, as he was appointed NUGAS NSW President, and was replaced by Ruby Lionatos.
